Canada Cartage’s Direct-to-Home service provides full EDI integration between the manufacturer’s/vendor’s data systems and Canada Cartage’s Transportation Management System (TMS). TMS allows Canada Cartage to offer seamless integration of the fulfillment process to our customer’s systems. This example illustrates a typical order process that integrates Direct-to-Home delivery with Canada Cartage’s EDI support.

CUSTOMER PROFILE:

Kitchen Craft sells custom kitchen cabinets to Customers.
Direct-to-Home (Canada Cartage) delivers kitchen cabinets to a residential location or building site.

1. Order is placed
with Vendor
2. Vendor’s system electronically forwards order details, including delivery date, to Canada Cartage’s TMS. 3. Canada Cartage’s TMS electronically provides order receipt and order acceptance. 4. Vendor initiates the build of the custom product and prepares the product for delivery. 5. Canada Cartage arranges pick-up from factory and delivery to home. 6. Proof of delivery is signed by the customer and the signed receipt is placed online for the Customer to review, 7. Canada Cartage’s TMS electronically submits billing information to the Vendor’s system.
